Technicians build programmable silk-based resources with embedded, pre-designed functions

Tufts University engineers have created a brand new structure of shades created from silk protein that can be preprogrammed with biological, substance, or visual features, such as for instance physical parts that change shade with strain, supply drugs, or answer gentle, based on a document published on line this week in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS).
